Who I am
I enjoy working with people who are curious about themselves, open to reflection, and genuinely motivated for change. A strong therapeutic alliance - a relational “good fit” - is at the heart of meaningful and effective treatment. Much of my work focuses on developmental challenges and the repetitive patterns that can quietly limit growth.
My intention is to create a private, safe, and supportive environment where people can move closer to the life they want. I aim to engage in the kind of thoughtful, personal conversations that help patients navigate symptoms, relationships, family dynamics, and work-related struggles. My listening is grounded in a careful understanding of each individual: what brings them to therapy, and how past experiences may be shaping present difficulties.
I draw on the combined traditions of psychoanalysis and trauma treatment. For some, a focused, deeper and longer-term treatment provides the space needed for lasting change. At times I may be more active - offering insight, guidance or a perspective - while at others I may focus on helping you identify if you’re in PTSD symptoms, depending on what best supports you. Contemporary psychoanalytic thinking helps me appreciate the complexity of human experience and the reality that many problems do not have simple solutions. Trauma focused treatment has taught me to notice when someone is in emotional flashback and needs methods to return to the present where they’re safe.
Above all, I value a collaborative, honest therapeutic process. Each person brings their own history, subjectivity, and desires, and together we find the path that supports your health, resilience, and sense of meaning.
